Format PLM Article:
The download template provides the proper spots for any of the information we ask of you, however there are still some formatting tips you should consider to prevent a PLM article from being rejected.
- The obvious - Do not include obscenities or rude comments directed towards the PLMIC or a potential PLM competitor you may have.
- The PLMIC requires at least 3 primary topics of interest in order for us to post your PLM article. You may have several important topics within your PLM article and this is OK. In fact, it is encourage that you create your PLM article with as much enriched information pertaining to your company, mission and profession as possible. There is no real limit in length your PLM article or topics can be but we do prefer that you break up your material into individual serried articles for better user navigation.
- Unlike news and update material, PLM articles should be material without age. In other words, PLM news and updates are pieces of material that are made for the moment and are usually short but detailed in description and are eventually stored as PLM history even when the become obsolete. A PLM article however should be created in such a way that visitors to the website can come back continuously and reference your material for weeks, months even years to come. PLM articles that become obsolete are eventually removed unless they are kept up with.
Please Note: If you feel your material is more relative to PLM news and updates then it is a PLM article, please visit our PLM News & Updates section for details.
- Somewhat of a continuum of the "Define Ownership Rights" Step 2; make sure when creating your PLM article using the Word Doc template, you provide the proper contact information, professions, origin of the document, etc. (clearly noted in the template ) for both the Contributor and the Owner of the material. By not doing so, the submission will be rejected.
